BREEZ’N – Beginnings to Present

On  MAR 31,  1995, was the first gig ever for BREEZ’N.

The venue was at the Metaphor coffee house in Escondido. We had 2 sets of material, mostly jazz standards and some instrumental pop tunes. We started as a small 4 piece combo with guitar, bass, drums and saxophone. We accepted donations at the door and I believe we made all of $42. Over the years we have added vocalists, percussionists and horn players to augment our sound and become a larger dance/show band.

I want to thank our current lineup and past members for the many years sharing their talents for our music,  and all performances at our events. We also need to thank our long time clients and the countless number  of sub musicians and vocalists in San Diego that have sat in with us over the past years. We could not have done this without you.

However , special thanks to Jeff Hofmockel and Aaron Valencia.  Jeff’s deep knowledge of music, songs and versatility on guitar along with Aaron’s smooth jazz style on sax plus such being such a great entertainer were so instrumental in the development of our sound and success of BREEZ’N to where we are today.

Jeff & Aaron

Thanks guys for the dedication and service to the band and the music community.
